Job Description
We're hiring a GIS Technician (level I or II, based on experience) who will be responsible for maintaining and editing GIS data and records. This role focuses on data entry, map production, and quality checks that support engineering, construction, and operations teams.
What You'll Do:
Enter and update facility and network data in the GIS platform under supervision Produce basic maps and exhibits from existing GIS data for internal requests Perform routine quality checks on GIS data, flagging errors or inconsistencies to senior staff Support incorporation of field-collected data (as-builts, locates, damage records) into GIS records Maintain GIS file organization, layer naming, and basic metadata per company standards Assist with data migration, cleanup, or bulk update tasks as directed Learn company GIS data standards, symbology, and editing procedures Due to the operational requirements, fluctuating workloads, and scaling demands, hours may fluctuate. You must be prepared to work in excess of 40 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends—to meet mission-critical contract milestones Other duties as assigned What We're Looking For 1-4 years in GIS, mapping or telecom/utility data support Associate's or bachelor's degree in GIS, geography, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredBenefits Include:
