Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Director of Information Technology to lead our technology initiatives and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Healthcare IT management, with a strong focus on enterprise solutions, cybersecurity, and cloud computing. In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all technological systems, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with the healthcare standards. Your leadership will drive innovation, optimize operational efficiency, and support the facility's mission to deliver exceptional services. Responsibilities Manages the facility's network services (LAN, WAN, and Campus). Recommends and manages budgets for departmental operations, the facility Information System, LAN/WAN services, interface and software licensing, and information technology projects. Recommends and manages network and systems security. Administers facility security policies. Manages hospital hep desk personnel with unresolved problems. Recommends and manages disaster recovery planning. Maintains documentation of the network infrastructure. Maintains knowledge of the latest technology. Facilitates technology research, implementation, and integration. Provides plans for possible use of new technology, including comparisons with current methods. Manages information technology equipment and supplies procurement. Oversees IT inventories. Hires and supervises department staff. Coaches staff for improved performance, plans for professional development, maintains work records, and conducts performance evaluations. Manages facility information system (CPSI) including software, hardware, and technical support. Manages other networked and PC applications, including email and Microsoft Office. Manages proxy firewall and database servers. Oversees the development and implementation of the facility's intranet Manages help desk services and maintains a help desk data source. Requirements Proven experience in senior IT leadership roles within large enterprise environments with demonstrated success managing complex IT projects. Minimum of three years IT management experience. Extensive knowledge of cloud computing platforms. Strong understanding of enterprise databases including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and data warehousing concepts. Hands-on experience with healthcare related network administration including WAN/LAN management, VPNs, SAN storage solutions, and network security protocols. Expertise in information security frameworks such as NIST standards alongside experience managing firewalls and network infrastructure security measures. Technical proficiency in programming languages . Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements related to data security along with experience implementing disaster recovery plans aligned with business continuity planning. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Strong project management capabilities including vendor negotiations, budgeting oversight, change management processes, and strategic planning.
