Position:
Our client is seeking a Senior Operations Executive & IT Manager to lead digital systems and operational workflows. This role acts as a bridge between business operations and IT, driving system design, automation, and digital transformation initiatives. The position will oversee system integrations (EDI/API), manage IT vendors, support quality control from a technical perspective, and lead company-wide process improvements through automation and digitization.
Breakdown of Responsibilities:
40% Systems Design & Project Management 25% Client Integration (EDI/API) 20% Automation & QC Support 15% Digital Transformation (DX)
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze operational issues and translate them into technical requirements for IT vendors Design system workflows and logic for internal applications Manage system development projects, including timeline and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Lead EDI and API integration projects with client systems (ERP, logistics platforms) Act as the main technical point of contact for client onboarding and system improvements Implement RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to reduce manual work Support Quality Control by identifying system issues and improving data accuracy Drive digital transformation initiatives, including workflow automation and paperless processes Introduce and manage low-code tools to improve internal operations Improve overall efficiency by digitizing manual processes (POs, expenses, internal requests)
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in logistics / 3PL industry Experience in systems design, EDI implementation, or project management Strong understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) Experience managing UAT and working with IT vendors Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
Must-have Skills:
Knowledge of WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) Experience with forwarding/logistics systems Strong understanding of EDI standards and integrations Experience with system workflow design and automation Nice to
Have:
Experience with RPA tools (e.g., Keyence RK) Experience in Digital Transformation (DX) projects Advanced Microsoft 365 (data management, automation tools) Experience with low-code platforms Business-level fluency in Japanese
