Job Description

We are seeking a Network Infrastructure Manager/Supervisor to oversee all network and systems operations for a large-scale public port infrastructure program. This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network architecture, directing systems administration staff, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all infrastructure supporting a complex, multi-stakeholder project environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, design, and manage the enterprise network infrastructure for a large-scale port capital improvement program, including LAN, WAN, and wireless systems. Direct and supervise network administration staff and systems administrators, setting priorities, reviewing work, and providing technical leadership. Serve as lead Network Architect for infrastructure design decisions, including topology, hardware selection, routing/switching protocols, and network security. Oversee server and systems administration functions, including virtual environments, storage, Active Directory, and operating system management. Monitor network performance and availability; develop and enforce uptime, redundancy, and failover standards. Manage network security posture in coordination with IT security policies, including firewall management, VPN, and access controls. Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, configuration records, and change management logs. Coordinate with help desk, telecom, and NOC teams to ensure end-to-end IT infrastructure integrity. Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to network hardware, software licensing, and managed services. Provide status reporting on infrastructure performance, capacity planning, and project milestones to program leadership. Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in network infrastructure, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Demonstrated expertise in network administration, including routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and WAN/LAN architectures. Hands-on experience as a network architect or in a lead network design capacity, including documentation of network topologies and infrastructure standards. Working knowledge of systems administration, including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage systems. Experience managing IT infrastructure within a large-scale construction, infrastructure, or government program environment preferred. Strong understanding of network security principles and protocols. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce technical documentation, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences. Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco DNA Center, or equivalent). Ability to work on-site in a dynamic port/marine infrastructure environment. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Cisco CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent advanced network certification. Experience in public agency, public works, or port/maritime program environments. Familiarity with SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS, Azure), or hybrid infrastructure environments. ITIL Foundation or equivalent IT service management certification. Experience with capital program IT infrastructure buildouts or large-scale network deployments.
