The primary purpose of theSUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST
(POLICY & PLANNING), GS-2210-13, is to is to provide supervision, subordine guidance, and team leadership to assigned employees. Accountable for directing the informion and da integrity of all base and tenant organizions, as well as geographically separed units (GSUs) and communicions and informion functions. Coordines with DOD, AF, MAJCOMS, Nional Guard Bureau (NGB), other activities, and Wing Flying Units to procure, distribute, maintain, and replace requirements for all informion technology (IT) and telecommunicions infrastructure. Performs long-term planning and organizional development necessary to accomplish IT and telecommunicions functions for programs essential ANG daily operions, training, and readiness missions. Manages, plans, organizes, controls, and directs the communicions activities for the Wing and Base to ensure mission accomplishment and optimum use of resources. Coordines communicions activities and projects with other concerned agencies and organizions. The position resides within the infrastructure and support functions of the ste Nional Guard; the incumbent is not subject to mobilizion, nor is the work described part of the military mission; and the incumbent does not perform a key advisory or essential administrive role th is inherently military. In addition, the position must meet one of the following: It does not have a comparable military function; the position is required in full-time (civilian) role when the organizion, or similar military position, is mobilized to perform continuing post-mobilizion functions; or the position requires a skill or competency th necessites technical expertise or professional qualificions th cannot be readily found in the military structure of the ste military force. (POLICY & PLANNING), GS-2210-13: Must have least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to least the GS-12 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the prive sector, but must demonstre th it is comparable to the GS grade indiced. Specialized experience may have been demonstred by performing duties such as: Providing executive leadership, guidance, and direction reling to informion technology; Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed; Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
