Job Summary Join our team as a Manager (Operations) in Information Technology Services! Help shape how technology supports our schools and community. As Manager of IT Operations, you'll lead the teams behind our infrastructure, network, service desk, and AV systems. You'll also oversee our enterprise and ERP platforms, guiding modern practices in cloud services, identity management, and unified communications. Along the way, you'll partner closely with county departments and school districts to deliver responsive, dependable IT support, all while keeping us compliant with applicable regulations. You bring a strong operational mindset combined with a commitment to continuous improvement, customer service, and system reliability. You design and maintain resilient, scalable infrastructure and service delivery models that support both administrative and educational needs. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven, with the ability to balance day-to-day operational demands with long-term modernization efforts. With strong communication and collaboration skills, you work effectively with technical teams, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders to align IT services with organizational priorities. You foster a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and innovation, and you support and develop teams to consistently deliver high-quality technology services.
General Description:
Under administrative direction, plans, directs, and manages information technology services operations, ensuring the reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of technology services across county departments Requirements / Qualifications A typical way to qualify for this classification would be:
Education:
Possession of a bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
Experience:
Six years of progressively responsible experience in IT operations, infrastructure, or systems support in a complex, multi-site, hybrid (cloud/on-premises) environment, including at least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Comments and Other Information Compensation:
$140,603.00 - $171,311.00 (salary step increase upon successful completion of 12 month probationary period).
