We are currently seeking an Information Technology Projects Supervisor in one of the following areas, Grand Junction, CO, Westminster, CO or Morgantown, WV.
OBJECTIVE
The IT Projects Supervisor works under minimal supervision leading cross-functional teams providing direction for projects as well as plans and manages the design, build, testing, implementation, and integration of new technologies on projects of a high complexity. This position is responsible for delivering technical project and portfolio management services to the US DOE Office of Legacy Management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage IT projects, as assigned, in accordance with approved methodologies ensuring delivery of all work-product both on-time and within budget while ensuring that business requirements and customer expectations are met. Develops and manages various plans and control mechanisms, including but not limited to; risk management, communications, change management, scheduling, cost/budget development and analysis, and quality assurance. Provides technical assistance to IT management in the facilitation of planning and directing complex issues, installations, modifications, and operations. Provides input to and assists with the organizational direction and goals for IT Project Management and may participate in strategic development. Oversees the IT projects portfolio and is responsible for ensuring projects are adhering to defined methodologies, processes, and procedures, and are being executed within scope, schedule, and budget. Contribute to continuous improvements in proposing new or changes to existing processes, templates, reports, or other tools. Supervises over IT Projects team of 7-9 staff and provides coaching and mentorship supporting their professional development. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, and

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be able to work collaboratively and communicate maturely and professionally with co-workers and federal customers. Ability to see the big picture, viewing the total systems perspective with a technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of hardware and software components. Strong inter-personal, written & verbal communication, presentation & training skills. Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical terms and speak into common non-technical language. Ability to coordinate across remote team members, management, and customers. Team supervision, coaching, mentoring, and development. Working knowledge of a project lifecycle, configuration management, IT Governance, and risk management frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Legacy Management Support (LMS)
