Location:
Primarily based in Atlanta, GA (corporate headquarters) and/or Covington, GA. Periodic travel to other company locations (Freeport, IL; Aurora, CO) may be involved
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for helping to plan the strategic direction for the business' information systems, identifying and recommending new technologies, managing information programming, conducting feasibility studies, running systems analysis and approving the use of hardware and software services.
Essential Functions:
Supervises all Information Technology Personnel Coordinate with the management team to develop and implement IT solution strategies (ERP integrations, CRM tools, expense reporting, tax systems, etc.) that align with business requirements Own the ongoing administration, automation, and enhancement of the company's Syspro ERP system, focused on the finance and inventory control modules, to improve efficiency and data accuracy Administer effective delivery of all projects with appropriate budget and timeframe Develop and implement an annual IT plan according to business requirements Own and manage the effective use of AI tools across the business, evaluating adoption opportunities and ensuring secure implementation Identify and recommend new technology or upgrades to existing technology Manage information programming Conduct feasibility studies Monitor all functions of IT department and ensure compliance to work standards Provide strategic direction for the corporate IT security program, including network and data security governance, risk and compliance management, and security operations Provide technical support to all areas of the organization Administer maintenance, licensing, and purchasing of IT software systems and hardware equipment Run systems analysis Establish effective relationships with management and staff to develop technology strategies and implementation plans Spearhead process improvement, re-evaluating business processes to support streamlined workflow and technology operations Mentor and coach development of Information Technology Staff Evaluate and prioritize competing technology requests across departments based on business impact and resource availability Other duties as assigned by
CEO Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 7-10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 3-5 years in IT management or leadership role Demonstrated experience managing an IT team and supporting a multi-site business Hands-on experience with ERP systems, including finance and inventory/supply chain modules Working knowledge of network and data security fundamentals, risk management, and compliance practices Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering technology initiatives on budget and on schedule Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with management and staff at all levels Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business terms for non-technical stakeholders, and vice versa Strong financial acumen, with experience managing an IT budget and evaluating ROI on technology investments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Syspro ERP Direct involvement in projects expanding or building out ERP automation and workflows Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Experience evaluating or implementing AI-driven tools in a business setting Working knowledge of modern IT infrastructure, including cloud platforms and SaaS integrations
