Job Description
Activities:
What does the jobholder have to do?Key Responsibilities:
Owns the design, implementation, and ongoing reliability of all IT infrastructure, including network, server, endpoint, and telecommunications systems, ensuring high availability for both office and production environments. Develops and implements policies and procedures related to network hardware and software acquisition, use, support, security, and backup. Communicate with other departments to report and resolve software, hardware, and operations problems. Consults with department managers to develop system solutions consistent with organizational objectives. Research and evaluate new technologies. Manages and standardizes endpoint configuration, software deployment, and system updates across the organization, leveraging centralized tools to ensure consistency, security, and minimal disruption to operations. Provides direct support for business-critical systems, including production floor technologies and real-time data displays, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid issue resolution in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, including infrastructure, software, and telecommunications partners, ensuring service quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with business needs. Establishes and enforces IT policies related to security, system usage, data protection, and backup/recovery, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and minimizing operational risk. Monitors system performance, network health, and resource utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain optimal system performance and uptime. Manages user access, identity, and security across systems, ensuring appropriate access controls and adherence to security best practices. Provides user training and documentation to improve effective use of systems, reduce support demand, and promote adherence to IT standards. Develops and implements IT related disaster recovery procedures. Serves as the primary point of accountability for IT operations, balancing day-to-day support with long-term infrastructure planning and continuous improvement.Education and Experience:
Required:
o Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; and/or a minimum of three (3) years of relevant IT experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Preferred o Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives o Experience supporting or administering systems in a manufacturing or production environment.
MSP/MRP/ERP
systems and internal business applications.o Familiarity with:
Contact management systems Database systems Human resource information systems (HRIS) Internet-based applications and tools Manufacturing software Spreadsheet and word processing software o Experience working in an ITAR-regulated environment is a plus. Why us?FOXTRONICS EMS
