IT Infrastructure Manager

Job Overview The IT Infrastructure Manager is responsible for providing a best-in-class IT environment by maintaining secure, reliable, and efficient technology systems that support daily Bank operations and employee productivity. The role helps ensure employees have the tools, access, and system reliability needed to serve customers effectively and operate with confidence.
Essential Job Functions:
Provision end user accounts (Active Directory), computers (Microsoft Windows), and peripherals (displays, keyboards, mice, printers) and mobile devices (phones, tablets). Manage either directly or through vendors the server infrastructure, shared printing, mobile device management, data backup platforms, edge switching, top of rack switching, wireless LAN controllers and access point infrastructure, and network firewalls. Collaborate with bank staff and vendors to test, stage, and perform infrastructure upgrades (typically operating system and vendor software package with some third-party component dependencies) to support bank application upgrades. Provide end user support troubleshooting (device performance, enhanced utilization of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Co-Pilot, Microsoft Outlook, and the secure transmission and receipt of materials with customers and vendors). Provide end user training on best practices to utilize bank-provided software and systems for maximum efficiency, safety and security, and end bank customer satisfaction. Meet with new hires and users during device refresh events, creating a satisfactory experience that bolsters end user confidence in effectively utilizing new devices. Work with vCISO to continuously enhance information security. Conduct internal penetration testing. Work with various vendors regarding IT audits and external penetration testing. Work with bank examiners during regulatory IT examinations. Work to remediate any regulatory examination findings and implement regulatory suggestions. Be aware of regulatory expectations that are commensurate with the bank's asset size. Test disaster recovery failovers. Meet with end users and vendors on a scheduled basis outside of normal business hours, as needed. Travel for training and industry events, as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in information technology, management information systems, or related field; or alternatively, five (5) or more years of industry experience with at least a completed High School diploma or equivalent. Three (3) years or more experience with end user support, server configuration and support, network configuration and support. One (1) year or more experience with IT vendor management. Previous experience as a technician, manager, or executive for a bank or other enterprise IT department or a managed services provider. Possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving history to meet insurance requirements. Preferred Qualifications Managed VMWare, Hyper V, Scale, Nutanix, or Microsoft Azure Local hypervisor computing environments. Managed Veeam Backup or similar hypervisor-integrated backup solutions. Managed Cisco IOS XE switches and routers. Managed Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers or similar WLAN platforms. Managed PaperCut or similar windows hosted print and scan queues. Managed Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or Sonic Wall firewalls or similar firewall platforms. Managed Apple MDM, Meraki MDM, or VMWare AirWatch or similar mobile device management platforms. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies In-depth PC, networking, and information security knowledge. General mathematical skills and knowledge. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively and collegially with staff, auditors, regulators, and vendors. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to prioritize and make on-the-spot decisions regarding end user computing needs, balancing end user satisfaction issues with acceptable bank risks. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
