On-site WHTalent Solutions is partnering with an established manufacturing organization to identify an IT Systems Manager to lead the company's internal business systems, IT operations, and external technology partners. This is not a traditional help desk or infrastructure-only IT Manager position. The right person will understand how technology supports a manufacturing operation and will work directly with business leadership to turn operational needs into reliable systems, data, and technical solutions. This individual will have ownership of core business applications including ERP and WMS systems , provide leadership to internal IT staff, and manage relationships with outsourced IT, managed-services, and cybersecurity vendors. The organization already has a defined technology roadmap, including future AI and automation initiatives. This role will be responsible for helping execute that roadmap by connecting business priorities to the appropriate systems, data, vendors, and internal resources. What You'll Do Own and support core business systems, including ERP, WMS, databases, and related enterprise applications Lead day-to-day IT operations within a manufacturing environment Directly manage and provide priorities to internal IT personnel Manage outsourced IT, MSP, cybersecurity, and other technology vendors Gather requirements from manufacturing, operations, supply chain, finance, and other business stakeholders Translate business needs into executable technical projects and system improvements Troubleshoot and improve integrations between ERP and other business systems Use SQL and relational databases to access, analyze, connect, and troubleshoot business data Establish clear service expectations and accountability for outside technology partners Support ERP enhancements, implementations, upgrades, and process improvements Help improve reporting, system visibility, and business intelligence capabilities Partner with leadership on future automation and AI initiatives Help scope and eventually build additional internal technical resources as the organization grows Required Qualifications Experience working in an IT or Business Systems role within a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience supporting, administering, improving, or implementing an ERP system Experience managing internal IT employees and external IT vendors/MSPs Strong SQL and relational database knowledge Experience translating operational or business requirements into technical solutions Understanding of enterprise applications and integrations between business systems Ability to manage multiple priorities, vendors, projects, and stakeholders Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams Comfortable working onsite and closely with manufacturing/operations leadership Preferred Qualifications Experience with WMS or other manufacturing/distribution systems Power BI, Power Platform, or similar reporting/automation tools API or system-integration experience Experience overseeing cybersecurity providers or security-related vendors Experience working with manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, or production systems Exposure to automation, AI, or data-driven technology initiatives Why Apply?
