The Manager, Patient Engagement and Health Equity, will support the execution of patient-centric recruitment and retention strategies across Moderna's clinical portfolio. This role partners with study teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external vendors to deliver effective, patient-focused engagement strategies that support enrollment and retention goals. The Manager will ensure that patient engagement approaches are data-driven, operationally feasible, and designed to reach and engage diverse patient populations. This role contributes to embedding patient insights and inclusive engagement practices into study execution and patient-facing materials.Here's What You'll Do:
Execute patient engagement, recruitment, and retention strategies across assigned clinical studies Partner with clinical teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support delivery of enrollment and retention goals Collaborate with vendors and agencies to implement recruitment campaigns and patient engagement activities Support development and review of patient-facing materials to ensure clarity, accessibility, and alignment with health literacy best practices Identify barriers to participation and recommend solutions to improve patient access and engagement Apply health equity principles to identify and address barriers to participation, ensuring patient engagement approaches support inclusive, accessible, and representative study populations Monitor recruitment performance and contribute to ongoing optimization of strategies Support incorporation of patient insights into study materials and engagement approaches Contribute to development and continuous improvement of processes, tools, and best practices Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, or related field and 5+ years of experience in patient recruitment and retention, patient engagement, health equity or clinical trial operations Strong understanding of patient engagement strategies and approaches to improving inclusive trial participation The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrix-style environment that values collaboration Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
