With expanding opportunities in fiber infrastructure, we're looking for an experienced Splicing Operations Manager who is ready to lead people, strengthen operations, and help us scale for the future. This is more than a position focused on managing today's workload. We're looking for a leader who can build teams, develop talent, improve processes, and create the operational structure needed to support continued growth. You'll work closely with field leadership, project management, and other departments to ensure our splicing operations deliver the safety, quality, productivity, and customer service our clients expect. Job Overview As a key leader, the Splicing Operations Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of department operations to ensure safe, efficient, profitable, and high-quality performance. developing, motivating, and holding employees accountable while fostering a productive and professional work environment. The role requires strong analytical, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively collaborate with employees, department leaders, senior management, ownership, and customers. The manager serves as a planner, problem solver, mentor, and leader who drives the continued stability and growth of the department and company Responsibilities The manager anticipates challenges, develops practical solutions, and continuously identifies opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability, and departmental performance. Responsibilities include managing departmental resources, budgets, supporting purchasing decisions, and ensuring compliance with established financial policies and procedures in coordination with the Corporate Controller and President. The Splicing Operations Manager is responsible for the safety and efficiency of the department, capacity planning, managing third party relations, budgeting, customer relations, equipment upkeep, and the overall health of the communication within and out of the department. Experience Proven experience in fiber optic network environments Extensive hands-on experience with fiber optic cables, telecommunications cable splicing, and outdoor work environments Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), Ethernet, telephony, and IT infrastructure components Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams related to fiber optic systems installation Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely following NESC guidelines Proficiency with diagnostic tools used for testing fiber optic networks and troubleshooting complex issues Familiarity with telecommunication testing equipment used for verifying network performance and integrity Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting support on fiber optic networks and related cabling infrastructure Excellent computer skills including familiarity with network management software, cabling documentation tools, and basic computer networking concepts Join us as a Splicing Operations Manager where your technical expertise and leadership skills can make a significant impact.
