Role:
Undergoing a major IT modernization effort, migrating workloads to cloud platforms and adopting federal interoperability mandates. Reporting directly to the CIO/CTO, the Director of IT Services will provide executive-level leadership and oversight for infrastructure operations, cloud services, vendor management, service desk teams, and cybersecurity compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily IT infrastructure operations, cloud platforms (AWS), networking, and service desk operations. Lead incident response for major technology outages and coordinate root cause analysis. Provide strategic leadership for enterprise cloud migration, disaster recovery, and architecture standards. Oversee vendor relationships, contract oversight, SOW development, and procurement processes. Ensure IT operations comply with
HIPAA, CMS
ARC-AMPE, and ITS security standards. Triage, assign, and track service tickets while managing team hiring and staff performance. Manage bi-annual assessment artifact collection and prepare weekly status reports for leadership.
Required Skills:
10+ years of progressive IT experience, with significant time managing enterprise IT operations and infrastructure. 8+ years of leadership/management experience supervising technical teams, engineers, and support staff. 2+ years of hands-on experience managing AWS enterprise cloud environments (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch). 2+ years of experience with enterprise networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, load balancing) and monitoring tools. 2+ years leading IT service desk operations, incident management, and vendor/SOW management. Strong background in cybersecurity principles, HIPAA compliance, data backup solutions, and IT governance. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in state or federal government IT environments (preferably Medicaid or healthcare). Knowledge of CMS interoperability mandates (FHIR APIs) and healthcare integration engines.
Active certifications:
AWS (Solutions Architect/SysOps/Cloud Practitioner), ITIL v4, or PMP. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and datacenter-to-cloud migrations.

Pay:
$90.00 - $110.00 per hour
