This role oversees all aspects of hardware, software, network infrastructure, and network security, while fostering a high-performing, service-oriented department focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Director of IT acts as a trusted advisor to leadership by generating recommendations to further optimize IT-related processes, workflows, systems, and services through automated solutions, enhanced technologies, and integrated services. This role combines forward-thinking leadership with operational execution, ensuring that technology not only supports but accelerates business priorities. Duties Lead and develop the IT team in identifying, analyzing, and implementing solutions that enhance the organization's information systems, including hardware, software, network infrastructure, and network security. Oversee all operations within the IT Department to maximize team effectiveness, internal productivity, service delivery, and cybersecurity. Lead the evaluation of purchased IT resources and associated vendors, including negotiating contracts for services, and facilitating the successful implementation of new technologies. Provide recommendations for hardware and software upgrades to further improve operations and enhance value. Partner with business leaders to identify and implement technology-based solutions that advance strategic and operational objectives, while building strong cross-functional relationships across the organization. Ensure the IT Department maintains comprehensive documentation regarding network policies, users, equipment, and system procedures. Provide leadership, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day oversight to employees within the IT Department, including talent development, succession planning, and team engagement. Perform other tasks as requested. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, required. Advanced certification in IT, preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years professional experience in IT. Minimum of five (5) years' experience leading teams, managing people, and driving results in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated project management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Suite of products and services Strong understanding of the latest, best-in-class technologies and protocols critical for hardware, software, network infrastructure, and network security (including encryption and authentication technologies). Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs. Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, bend, twist, and reach frequently. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and meet the required criteria for driving a company vehicle
