Manage managed service providers and technology vendors used to augment in-house capacity in a small credit union environment. Develop and deliver security awareness training and technology onboarding for all staff. Maintain IT policies, procedures, system documentation, and user guides; ensure the department operates with clear, current standards. Network Administration & Infrastructure Administer and maintain the credit union's network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points; ensure reliable, secure connectivity across all branch and back-office systems. Proactively monitor network performance, availability, and capacity; diagnose and resolve connectivity issues with minimal disruption to operations. Manage the Microsoft 365 environment including Teams for all credit union staff. Oversee on-premise and/or cloud-based server administration, virtualization, and storage systems; plan and execute maintenance windows with minimal member-facing impact. Maintain network segmentation, VPN, and remote access solutions to ensure secure, reliable staff connectivity across locations. Core Systems & Technology Operations Manage the credit union's core processing platform (Symitar/Episys), including upgrades, integrations, and specfile/report development. Oversee digital banking channels (online, mobile, bill pay, e-statements), ATM and branch technology. Manage Help Desk operations; ensure timely resolution of staff technology issues and that service level expectations are met. Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technology solutions aligned with credit union goals and budget. Cybersecurity & Information Security Develop and maintain the Information Security Program in compliance with GLBA Safeguards Rule, FFIEC guidance, PCI DSS, and Nevada state requirements. Conduct annual risk assessments; manage incident detection, response, and regulatory notification requirements. Oversee user access controls, MFA, endpoint protection, email security, patch management, and network-level threat monitoring. Business Continuity, Vendor & Compliance Maintain IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP); coordinate annual testing and present results to management. Manage technology vendor relationships, contracts, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with Nevada state credit union regulations, GLBA, FFIEC IT Handbook, and BSA requirements; support examination preparation. Strategic Planning & Budget Develop and manage the IS department budget; present technology strategy and capital expenditure proposals to Senior Management. Evaluate emerging technologies (AI tools, digital payments, cloud services, network modernization) for credit union applicability. Other duties as assigned by the President/CEO. Education, Experience & Certifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field desirable; equivalent professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree. 3-5 years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a financial institution; credit union experience strongly preferred. Prior Supervisory Experience Required Hands-on experience with network administration, firewall management, and Microsoft 365 / Azure AD environments required. Experience with credit union core processing systems (Symitar/Episys, FiServ, Co-Op, Jack Henry) and familiarity with
FFIEC/GLBA
requirements. CompTIA Security+, Network+ preferred. Compensation & Scheduling This is a salaried, exempt position; compensation is not subject to overtime. Participation in the IT on-call rotation is mandatory; the IT Manager is expected to respond to after-hours technology incidents, system emergencies, and critical outages as needed.
