In this role, the IT Manager should excel in time management, multi-tasking, cyber security, organization. This position will serve as support of Vital Health staff.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical Systems & EHR Administer and support electronic health record systems Work with clinical teams to improve workflows and documentation efficiency Ensure data accuracy, reporting, and interoperability Support agency staff during EHR implementation Build reports necessary for data tracking Security & Compliance Maintain compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 Oversee daily IT operations, including networks, servers, cloud systems, and end-user devices Ensure system reliability, uptime, backups, and disaster recovery planning Implement cybersecurity measures (firewalls, antivirus, encryption, access controls) Conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident response Train staff on data privacy and security best practices User Support Manage IT end-user support services (troubleshooting) Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues Develop training materials and standard operating procedures IT Troubleshooting Leadership & Strategy Lead IT projects (system upgrades, migrations, telehealth expansion) Maintain and update agency website Develop and execute IT strategy aligned with agency goals Grow department as Vital Health scales Manage IT budget, forecasting, and cost control Supervise IT staff or external consultants Telehealth & Digital Tools Support telehealth platforms and secure communication tools Maintain and update agency website Ensure HIPAA-compliant virtual care solutions Evaluate and implement new healthcare technologies
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS/CREDENTIALS
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field 5+ years IT experience; 2+ years in leadership role preferred Experience in healthcare, mental health, or SUD settings preferred Knowledge of HIPAA and HITECH Act
