Director of Infrastructure and Security A consumer retail organization is seeking a Director of Infrastructure and Security to join their IT team. This position will be leading a team of 6 while reporting to the VP of IT. This role will have high visibility working with the CIO and group IT team based internationally. This position is based in Glen Rock, NJ with a hybrid remote schedule (3 days in/2 days remote).

Responsibilities:

Align IT initiatives with business goals such as labor efficiency, margins, and operational excellence Own vendor relationships

• evaluate, negotiate, and manage contracts for cost-effective, scalable solutions Translate business needs into actionable IT strategies and roadmaps Inspire, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team Build and communicate a multi-year vision for infrastructure, security, and system accessibility Own IT budgeting
• from building to managing and reporting Lead with transparency, accountability, and long-term thinking Understand and oversee systems including POS, networking, cloud environments (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), and cybersecurity Establish IT policies, mitigate risks, and identify vulnerabilities with strategic, forward-thinking solutions Manage projects with precision
• delivering on scope, timeline, and budget Act as a liaison between technical teams and senior leadership, translating complex tech into business language Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Proven experience in an IT leadership role (Manager or Director level) Technical knowledge across key systems, applications, and security frameworks Strong business and financial acumen Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skill A desire to keep learning, growing, and leading with curiosity

Desired Skills:

Experience leading a team in a retail IT environment is preferred Experience running an Azure environment for networking and cloud, preferably leading the migration Experience leading an SD-WAN networking environment Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks

Job Type:

Up to $230,000.00 per year
