Job Description

Job Overview We are a solutions-based supply chain management company. We proudly serve the Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice fresh fruit and vegetable industry and are seeking a skilled Information Technology Director. The Information Technology Director will be responsible for overseeing IT strategy, daily computer and network operations, connecting executive goals with technical execution and lead technical staff.
Key Primary Responsibilities Include:
Develop and implement strategies for the design, deployment, and maintenance of technical infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms. Identify technology needs and make recommendations to business decision-makers. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead resolution efforts to minimize downtime and disruptions. Implement disaster recovery plans and procedures to safeguard critical data and systems. Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect the organization's technical infrastructure and sensitive information. Evaluate the company's adherence to federal technology requirements for security. Manage the IT team including developers, security analysts, support technicians and vendors. Maintain company hardware and software programs. Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of technical systems to meet business requirements. Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline technical operations and ensure consistent performance. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends and evaluate their potential for improving operational efficiency. Implement company-wide technology updates and hold sessions to teach employees about new features. Core Skills and Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred; OR equivalent work experience (8+ years) in technical operations, infrastructure management, or a similar role.
  • Experience and comfort in communicating and negotiating with C-Level Executives. The ability to speak IT to end users that may not speak IT (This is a client facing position).
  • Your teams will often be deployed at client sites, and you may be required too as well
  • Strong knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, data center operations, and IT security.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, enterprise storage systems, and network protocols.
  • Experience with Famous Software ERP would be a big plus.
  • Experience with BI platforms, cloud hosted phone systems and/or produce industry systems and equipment would also be very helpful.
  • Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) a must. Physical Demands
  • Constantly talk, hear, sit, use keyboard/ten key, fine dexterity with hands and repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 20 lbs., push/pull up to 20lbs, reach outward, walk-normal surfaces, grasp, and hold.
  • Occasionally lift and carry between to 21-50lbs., push/pull between 21-50lbs, reach overhead, kneel, climb, and stand. Other
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time, mostly domestically, but will include travel to Mexico and potentially other Spanish speaking countries.
Pay:
From $110,000.00 per year
