Network Project Manager III , Remote Contract Role We are looking for a seasoned Network Project Manager III / Telecom Systems SME for a 100% remote contract opportunity supporting a major telecommunications organization's Network Facilities Optimization & Decommission (NFOD) program. This role will leverage expert-level knowledge of Telcordia systems including TIRKS, LFACS, Switch OS, and SOAC, along wireline, network inventory, provisioning, OSP/IOF, legacy TDM, and optical transport technologies. The #1 feature of this opportunity is the chance to become a go-to telecom systems expert supporting large-scale network optimization, automation, and facility decommission initiatives. We are looking for someone who understands how complex telecom networks and inventory systems work and can immediately identify discrepancies between system data and the actual network. You'll work closely with engineering, analytics, and development teams, translating your telecom expertise into automated workflows and business requirements while gaining valuable exposure to network transformation and modernization initiatives in a 100% remote environment.

Contract Duration:

24 -30 Months Required Skills & Experience Expert-level TIRKS experience (required) Deep knowledge of TIRKS, LFACS, Switch OS, and SOAC Extensive wireline experience Strong understanding of network inventory, provisioning, and facility management Ability to read and analyze circuit records and designs Experience with legacy TDM and optical transport networks Proven telecom SME able to contribute immediately Extensive OSP/IOF engineering experience Strong business/systems analysis experience Experience working with large structured datasets and identifying data discrepancies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desired Skills & Experience Network decommission or consolidation experience Legacy transport migration experience Network Inventory Management experience Transport Engineering experience Facility Decommissioning experience Network Operations experience Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Gemini Smartsheet or Canvas experience Python or SQL experience for data validation and ad-hoc queries Familiarity with BPMN or structured process notation Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience Six or more years of relevant telecom industry experience Advanced degree or certification in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or Project Management is a plus What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown

• XX% Network Inventory / Provisioning / Decommissioning Daily Responsibilities Serve as the Telcordia systems SME Support network optimization and decommission initiatives Validate and reconcile circuit and facility data across multiple systems Translate telecom processes into automation and business requirements Analyze network inventory and identify decommission opportunities Leverage IVAPP and Nautilus/IEN knowledge to validate circuit data and improve cross-system reconciliation Apply OSP/IOF expertise to support facility-level decommission analysis involving copper, fiber, interoffice routes, and circuit inventory Use NAR data to support circuit utilization tracking, decommission modeling, and facility exit planning Partner with engineering, analytics, and development teams to improve workflows and reduce manual effort Support legacy transport migration planning and circuit hierarchy analysis Identify and resolve data discrepancies Review and validate automated system outputs against known network configurations Document processes, system workflows, data flows, and decommission decision logic Communicate complex network concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Build and maintain strong relationships across cross-functional teams We are Connectors.
