KMS is also the parent organization of Frameworq, a growing B2B SaaS platform built for capital project and facility management. Position Summary Kemp Management Solutions (KMS) is seeking a Senior Manager of IT Operations & Infrastructure to serve as the operational and technical backbone of the organization's IT function. This role is responsible for day-to-day infrastructure reliability, cybersecurity posture, vendor and partner oversight, and the systems that power both KMS's project management consulting practice and its growing B2B SaaS platform, Frameworq. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator with a strong infrastructure and security mindset who is also building toward strategic leadership. This person will grow alongside the organization, with a clear development path toward a Director of IT or CTO-level role as KMS scales. They will serve as a critical partner to the President, allowing executive leadership to elevate focus toward growth, innovation, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities IT Infrastructure & Operations Oversee and manage outsourced IT partners supporting Microsoft 365, hardware support, network management, email filtering, cybersecurity monitoring, and Active Directory onboarding/offboarding. Maintain and enforce VPN access protocols to safeguard sensitive client and corporate data. Manage software licensing, maintenance agreements, and renewal schedules for all enterprise applications. Oversee IT infrastructure for KMS headquarters and corporate offices, including physical security systems (cameras, access controls). Serve as the primary liaison between business operations, technology vendors, and technical partners. Proactively identify and resolve infrastructure risks; escalate strategic-level issues to the President. Security & Compliance Own and mature KMS's cybersecurity posture, including patch management, firewall oversight, endpoint protection, and threat monitoring. Support SOC 2 Type 2 readiness and ongoing audit obligations for Frameworq. Ensure third-party and vendor compliance with contractual and regulatory IT requirements. Administer internal cybersecurity training programs and ensure team-wide completion. Develop and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans. Frameworq & Software Oversight Coordinate with Frameworq development and design teams to ensure secure, scalable, and high-quality software delivery. Assist in evaluating and integrating AI tools and automation initiatives across Frameworq and KMS operations. Provide technical review and guidance on platform architecture, integrations, and third-party tooling. Systems & Continuous Improvement Evaluate, recommend, and implement new software platforms and tools to improve business efficiency. Build and document IT processes, runbooks, and standard operating procedures. Identify automation opportunities that reduce manual burden and improve operational throughput. Qualifications/Skills Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Active Directory, endpoint management, and enterprise networking. Practical experience with cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and compliance programs (NIST, SOC 2, or similar). Ability to manage and hold accountable outsourced IT partners and managed service providers. Familiarity with software development lifecycles and ability to engage meaningfully with development teams. Experience identifying, evaluating, and implementing new enterprise technology platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical concepts for non-technical leadership. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered. 5-8+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2-3 years in an infrastructure, operations, or IT management role. Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CISM, or Microsoft certifications preferred; willingness to pursue certifications a plus. company and its proprietary SaaS platform. Schedule and Work Environment Birmingham, AL (HQ) based with occasional travel to Charlotte, NC office and client sites. Local team members may follow a flex schedule with a minimum of three in-office days per week; Tuesdays and Thursdays are mandatory onsite days. All team members must attend mandatory meetings at the Birmingham, AL home office at least quarterly. Must be able to work in a standard office environment.
