This job is a member of the Technology Team within the Technology Division.
This position will create an environment where teams leverage Agile and DevOps methodologies to deliver platform application solutions on time, with high quality, and that meet customer expectations. What youll do
Collaborates with Business and IT leadership to determine and communicate systems vision, direction, and work priorities, and drives progress towards technology target roadmaps
Ensures that sound agile project management, business analysis, and quality assurance processes are in place and practiced
Removes roadblocks, cultivates relationships, and effectively communicates across Enterprise at various levels of leadership
Leads, influences, and enforces technology standards
Demonstrates continuous improvement mindset for internal development processes and how applications assist in business processes operational flow
Uses software development best practices to design and implement processes that maintain quality standards while meeting deadlines
Estimates effort and resources needed for development activities, ensure initiatives have the right allocation of resources, and ensure that deliverables are meeting the business needs
Participates in department budget & capital planning processes
Manages and tracks project/program schedules and budgets with controller(s), as appropriate
Manages and leads adoption and migration of new and emerging technologies
Maintains an effective approach on problem solving, multi-tasking, coordinating and scheduling in accordance with stated goals to ensure visibility and predictability
Develops and mentors a team of highly skilled technologists (project managers, business analysts, quality assurance, and developers)
Leads, motivates, and cultivates a high performing team environment
Manages production issues and off-hours support, communication, and coordination
Works extended hours occasionally, based on the needs of the project and the operation
Travels, as required

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
10 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments
7 years of experience overseeing large technology projects from inception to implementation in an enterprise environment
5 years of experience delivering SDLC solutions using ITIL / Agile / XP, or similar methodologies
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
Airline industry experience, including business processes and supporting technology
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Experience in attracting, selecting, developing, and motivating technical individuals that can work as a team to meet deliverables and quickly overcome obstacles
Experience in leading a team of individuals with various levels of skills and experience in potentially high stress and challenging situations, across various geographic regions; strong leadership skills in transforming teams to be more nimble in delivering business capabilities
Ability to develop strong working relationships with other leaders within IT and across Business teams
Experience in managing, supporting, and delivering mission-critical projects/migrations
Proven ability to work with multiple teams, technical solutions, and business domains, with a focus on building action-oriented consensus, with a record of product and solution delivery
Demonstrated ability to work in a mission-critical, non-stop, real-time environment
Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
Ability to think strategically and use sound judgment and initiative in making decisions
Ability to manage conflicting priorities and customer expectations in a fast paced operational environment
Experience and thorough understanding of overall systems development life cycle practices and procedures using various methodologies (agile, lean, waterfall)
Strong technical experience with expertise in object oriented programming, common data structures and algorithms, and of design patterns and best practices
Balanced delivery track record where IT hygiene (EOSL, patching, DR compliance, Technical Debt) is a focus
Experience in DevOps Toolchain methodologies, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
Experience providing requirements, review, approvals for contracts, and statements of work to vendor partners, internal vendor management groups, and legal
Experience managing financial budgets
Hands-on experience building AI-powered solutions using Agentic AI frameworks, MCP Servers, RAG, LLMs and enterprise-scale adoption of AI developer tooling
Strong expertise in digital experience optimization, including A/B testing (Adobe Target), SEO/GEO, Core Web Vitals, Accessibility, web performance optimization.
Proven ability to delivery automated frameworks to accelerate web delivery (GraphQL, Agentic UX Components and Web Frameworks / App Shells
