The role focuses on building Level 4 autonomous capabilities where systems analyze, decide, execute, verify, and continuously adapt with minimal human intervention. Key Responsibilities Define enterprise-wide Autonomous Network architecture and roadmap. Design intent-based networking and autonomous operations frameworks.
Build end-to-end closed-loop systems covering:
Fault Management Performance Management Configuration Management Service Assurance Security Operations Develop autonomous decision engines using AI Agents, LLMs, knowledge graphs, and reinforcement learning. Build self-healing and self-optimizing workflows with automated verification and rollback mechanisms. Implement agentic AI frameworks for assurance, optimization, provisioning, change management, and service fulfillment. Create Digital Twin environments for simulation and autonomous decision validation. Lead cross-domain automation covering RAN, Core, Transport, Cloud, and Edge networks. Establish AI governance, guardrails, explainability, and operational risk controls. Define autonomy KPIs and drive TM Forum ANL Level 4 assessments. Provide thought leadership and represent the organization in TM Forum, ETSI, GSMA, and industry forums Skill Requirements Autonomous Networking TM Forum Autonomous Network Framework Intent-Based Networking Closed-Loop Automation Digital Twins Policy-Driven Operations Zero-Touch Network Management Network Automation Python, Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent automation frameworks. API-driven network management (REST, NETCONF, gNMI, TM Forum Open APIs). Event-driven architectures and workflow orchestration. AI & Agentic Systems Multi-Agent Architectures LLM Integration Reinforcement Learning Knowledge Graphs AIOps/MLOps AI Governance & Explainability Telecom Technologies Open RAN / Near-RT RIC / Non-RT RIC 5G Core & Network Slicing NWDAF Analytics Service Orchestration Cloud-Native Telco Platforms Cloud & Software Engineering Kubernetes/OpenShift AWS, Azure, GCP Event-Driven Architectures API Management DevSecOps Leadership Responsibilities Lead solution architecture and autonomous network transformation programs. Define target-state architecture and autonomy maturity roadmap. Mentor engineering teams and establish best practices. Drive innovation and create reusable autonomous network accelerators. Other Requirements 8-12 years of overall experience in Telecommunications, Networking, OSS/BSS, or Network Operations. 4+ years of hands-on experience in Network Automation and OSS transformation programs. 2+ years of experience implementing AI/ML-driven network operations, AIOps, or closed-loop automation solutions. Proven experience across one or more domains: Experience with large-scale CSP environments supporting mission-critical network operations. Experience designing and implementing TM Forum Autonomous Network Level 3 or Level 4 use cases such as fault management, service assurance, network optimization, or service provisioning TM Forum Autonomous Networks certification, particularly in ANL assessment and autonomous operations frameworks, is highly preferred.
