Education & Experience Bachelor's degree required 5-10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including time in preparatory roles Symitar Experience Preferred Skills & Leadership Strong ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal Proven ability to lead complex initiatives and drive organizational outcomes Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills What You'll Do As the VP of IT, you will lead both the day-to-day operations and long-term technology strategy for the credit union.
Responsibilities include:
Lead the IT department's daily operations and strategic planning efforts Manage information and communications systems and projects, including voice, data, core processing systems, imaging, security, hardware, software, and office automation Ensure IT operating practices, hardware, and software meet all regulatory requirements Oversee deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals Develop, maintain, and test disaster recovery plans to ensure readiness in the event of a crisis Approve and oversee IT projects and vendors across departments Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and enhance service delivery Develop and manage the annual IT budget Establish and implement IT policies and procedures Oversee information security and ensure security testing and audits are performed Ensure all systems function properly, minimize downtime, and resolve issues in a timely manner Keep executive leadership informed on IT strategies, plans, and initiatives Coach, develop, and lead a high-performing IT team Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain compliance Work Environment & Physical Demands The physical and environmental conditions listed below are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. This position involves:
