  • 32/hour DOE Cowboy Technologies is expanding our IT team and is currently hiring multiple full-time IT professionals across a range of experience levels , from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support technicians to an experienced IT professional capable of taking a leadership role within our managed IT department.
Whether you are an experienced support technician looking to grow your skills or a seasoned IT professional capable of managing customer environments, projects, escalations, and other technicians, we would like to hear from you. Positions and compensation will be determined based on experience, technical ability, and level of responsibility. Our IT team provides both remote and onsite support to businesses throughout San Antonio and the surrounding area. All positions report to our San Antonio office Monday through Friday and may provide a combination of remote help-desk support, onsite customer support, project work, and technical administration depending on experience. These are not work-from-home positions. Opportunities Available We are considering candidates across several experience levels. Tier 1 / IT Support Technician Ideal for someone with foundational professional IT experience who can handle common end-user issues and continue developing their technical skills.
Responsibilities may include:
Windows and macOS desktop support Microsoft 365 and Outlook support Password resets and user account assistance Hardware and peripheral troubleshooting Printer and scanner troubleshooting Workstation setup and deployment Basic network and connectivity troubleshooting Remote help-desk support Onsite customer support User onboarding and offboarding Maintaining service tickets and documentation Tier 2 / IT Field & Support Technician Ideal for an experienced technician who can independently troubleshoot and resolve a wider range of business IT issues.
Responsibilities may include:
Advanced Windows and macOS troubleshooting Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID Workstation migrations and deployments TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS troubleshooting Wired and wireless network troubleshooting Routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points VPN and remote-access troubleshooting Basic server administration and troubleshooting Network printers, scanners and multifunction devices Customer onboarding and technology deployments Onsite troubleshooting and service calls Working with escalation resources on more complex issues Participating in scheduled on-call coverage Senior IT / IT Manager We are also interested in candidates with the experience and leadership ability to take a higher-level role within our IT operation. Depending on experience, responsibilities may include: Overseeing day-to-day IT service operations Managing and mentoring Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians Handling technical escalations and complex customer issues Managing Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID environments Managing servers, networks, firewalls, switches, wireless infrastructure and related systems Reviewing customer environments and recommending improvements Planning and overseeing IT projects, migrations and deployments Managing new-client technical onboarding Maintaining technical standards and documentation Reviewing service tickets and ensuring issues are properly resolved and documented Coordinating with third-party technical and support resources Helping prioritize service requests and technician workloads Communicating with customers regarding technical issues, projects and recommendations Identifying security, reliability and infrastructure concerns within customer environments Supporting the continued development and growth of our managed IT department The senior-level position requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership—not only of individual technical issues, but of the overall quality and delivery of IT services. Technologies & Environments We Support Experience with some or all of the following is valuable depending on the level for which you are being considered: Windows 10/11 Apple macOS Microsoft 365 Active Directory Microsoft Entra ID Windows Server environments TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS Routers, switches and wireless networks Firewalls and VPNs Business Wi-Fi and wireless access points PC and Mac hardware Network printers and scanners Remote monitoring and management tools Endpoint security and cybersecurity tools Backup solutions Ticketing and documentation systems User onboarding/offboarding Workstation deployments and migrations Previous experience working for an MSP or supporting multiple business environments is highly valued , particularly for Tier 2 and senior-level candidates. CompTIA, Microsoft, Fortinet, Apple and other relevant certifications are a plus, but demonstrated technical ability and experience are equally important. Requirements Requirements vary based on experience level, but all candidates must have: Professional IT experience or equivalent demonstrated technical experience Valid Texas driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to report to our San Antonio office Monday through Friday Ability to travel to customer locations throughout San Antonio and surrounding areas Ability to lift and move computers, UPS units, networking equipment and related technology Professional communication and customer-service skills Schedule & Compensation Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM $20
  • 32 per hour, depending on experience, technical ability and level of responsibility.
Compensation and position level will be determined based on the candidate's experience and demonstrated technical capabilities. Candidates may be considered for Tier 1, Tier 2, senior technical or IT management responsibilities depending on their qualifications. Vehicle reimbursement is provided for positions requiring travel to customer locations. Some positions participate in scheduled weekend on-call coverage. Occasional scheduled after-hours work may also be required for projects, installations, migrations or maintenance that cannot reasonably be completed during a customer's normal business hours.
