Lead the technology that keeps everything running—and helps shape what's next! Technology is the backbone of everything we do—and we're looking for the leader who's ready to own it end to end. We're seeking a Director of Information Technology who enjoys being both the strategic mind and the hands-on problem solver. From keeping systems secure and running smoothly to shaping long-term technology strategy, this role is all about impact. You'll serve as a trusted IT partner across the organization, jumping in where needed—including travel between locations—to make technology work better for everyone.
WHAT YOU'LL DO IT
Leadership & Strategy Lead the Bank's overall technology and data processing function. Evaluate, recommend, and implement technology solutions that support organizational goals. Establish and maintain IT governance, including policies, procedures, standards, and documentation. Develop and manage technology initiatives in partnership with department leaders. Participate in or lead IT Committee meetings and prepare related reporting and updates. Technology Operations & Support Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, endpoints, productivity platforms, and security monitoring. Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or urgent IT issues. Manage patching, system updates, and lifecycle planning for applications, hardware, and infrastructure. Lead employee technology onboarding and offboarding processes. Coordinate third-party systems, telecommunications, and connectivity, including support for core banking system integrations. Operate independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners. Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance Lead the Bank's cybersecurity posture, including threat detection, IAM, vulnerability management, and security awareness. Own business continuity, incident response, and disaster recovery planning and testing. Partner with the Information Security Officer to support security training for staff and the Board. Manage IT risk assessments, remediation efforts, penetration testing, and security documentation. Support cyber insurance underwriting, renewals, and incident-related information requests. Regulatory & Vendor Management Ensure compliance with FDIC, GLBA, FFIEC, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Coordinate IT audits and regulatory examinations and manage responses to findings. Maintain strong relationships with auditors, examiners, and IT vendors. Oversee third-party risk management and due diligence for IT service providers. Perform other related duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field—or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five or more years of progressive experience across core technology operations, preferably within a regulated environment such as a financial institution. Strong working knowledge of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance requirements. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and guidance, including GLBA, FDIC, and FFIEC. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools. Solid understanding of networks, infrastructure, and endpoint management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, analyze data, and develop practical solutions. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to support and collaborate with others. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, edit, and proofread professional communications. High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly. This role is primarily office‑based and involves regular use of computers and standard office equipment. The position requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, move between workstations as needed, and view computer screens for prolonged periods of time. Occasional lifting and travel to branch locations may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role. This description reflects the general nature of the position and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of duties or requirements. If this sounds like the kind of role where you'd do your best work—and enjoy doing it—we encourage you to apply!Similar jobs in Hortonville, WI
