Job Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager for our partner in the Madison area. This role will lead a team responsible for enterprise infrastructure, systems, networking, and security operations. This role combines people leadership with technical oversight, making it a strong fit for someone who enjoys developing technical teams, improving operational processes, and helping drive infrastructure strategy.
Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure, this individual will oversee day-to-day operations, support key technology initiatives, and serve as a senior escalation point for complex infrastructure and security-related issues. While remaining technically engaged, the primary focus of the position is leadership, team development, operational excellence, and execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & OperationsLead, coach, and develop a team supporting network, systems, and security operationsManage hiring, employee development, performance management, and workload planningEstablish priorities, balance operational support with project work, and ensure successful delivery of team objectivesFoster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharingInfrastructure & Technical OversightProvide technical leadership across enterprise infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and security operationsAct as the senior escalation point for complex incidents and critical production issuesGuide architectural decisions and infrastructure improvementsPromote automation, standardization, and best practices throughout the environmentSecurity & CompliancePartner with the team to maintain a secure and reliable infrastructure environmentSupport security operations, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery planningContribute to regulatory and compliance initiatives, including
