Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager for a 12+ month contract position based in Celebration, Florida. You will join the New Build team, reporting to the Technology Director of New Build and Network Engineering. In this role, you will manage complex technology projects supporting new ship build initiatives, applying project management principles and practices to lead schedule, scope, quality, cost, and performance across multiple concurrent projects. Responsibilities Identify stakeholders and communicate effectively through appropriate channels (email, meeting minutes, etc.); proactively manage expectations and maintain stakeholder alignment. Work with application and product owners to establish clarity around delivery objectives, scope, and requirements. Develop program and project management documentation, including project management plans, schedules, budgets, RACI charts, and project logs (risks, issues, actions, decisions, communications, change requests, lessons learned). Serve as a liaison between business users and implementation teams, maintaining awareness of project status and communicating any potential delays, situations, or concerns that may affect project outcomes. Manage project task assignment by developing project plans, assessing engagement risks, driving conclusions, and reviewing team output. Track progress and monitor project tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Communicate with clients and stakeholders to secure program and project support. Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping their needs and requirements in view. Shepherd technology projects from ideation through delivery. Prepare executive-facing status reports in collaboration with multiple team leads. Create and present technical and educational documentation to enhance project team knowledge. Qualifications Required Seven to ten years of project management experience managing diverse teams and complex projects. Experience with technology project initiation in a large technology/digital environment. Strategic thinking with the ability to connect business outcomes to technology solutions; strong collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication skills—written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation—with the ability to communicate across all organizational levels. Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Understanding of value-driven business outcomes and metrics. Experience in team-oriented, collaborative environments. Expertise with project management tools and software packages (Project Portfolio Management [PPM] tools such as Clarity). Expert proficiency in office productivity software and tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote, SmartSheet). Bachelor's degree in a technology or business-related discipline, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification. Experience with cruise line systems.
