Contract / Consulting Position Summary Defined Software Development is seeking experienced IT Project Managers for contract consulting opportunities in the Tallahassee area. Our consultants support government and enterprise technology projects across a variety of IT environments. The ideal candidate will have experience managing technology projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, tracking project schedules and deliverables, and communicating effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Specific project assignments, requirements, and durations may vary based on client and project needs. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects from initiation through completion. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate activities among business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and project participants. Facilitate project meetings and communicate project status, risks, issues, and dependencies. Monitor project scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables. Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans. Gather, analyze, and document project and business requirements. Track project progress and ensure deliverables meet established requirements. Coordinate testing, implementation, deployment, and transition activities as applicable. Prepare project status reports, presentations, schedules, and other documentation. Support issue resolution, change management, and project decision-making. Work with technical teams to ensure project objectives align with business requirements. Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience managing IT or technology-related projects. Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and status reports. Experience coordinating technical and business teams. Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes. Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Qualifications PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification. Experience supporting government or public-sector technology projects. Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies. Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, ServiceNow, or similar tools. Experience with application development, cloud, data, infrastructure, system implementation, or modernization projects. Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
