Position Overview We are seeking a Business Applications Leader to drive the planning, execution, and management of our enterprise applications portfolio. This portfolio includes enterprise resource planning (ERP), industrial manufacturing applications, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and supporting applications such as WMS, EDI, finance, and supply chain platforms. This role will lead the overall design and execution of our NetSuite ERP environment, ensuring it effectively supports business processes and organizational objectives. The position is responsible for strategic planning, leading implementation initiatives, and driving continuous improvement of ERP solutions to enhance data integrity, operational efficiency, and business outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong techno-functional background in ERP systems, project/program management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. This leader will align ERP capabilities with business needs, manage vendor relationships, and oversee support teams to ensure a stable and responsive application portfolio. This is a hands-on, coach/player leadership role overseeing a lean internal applications team supported by consultants. Strong business analysis, requirements definition, and stakeholder management skills are critical. The successful candidate will also stay current with emerging ERP trends, including embedded AI capabilities, while balancing cost management and prioritization of initiatives to deliver measurable business value from early-stage planning through execution.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise applications strategy aligned with business goals, priorities, and objectives.
Business Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders across the organization.
Portfolio Management:
Oversee the enterprise applications portfolio to ensure it meets current and future business needs. Evaluate and prioritize initiatives based on strategic alignment, ROI, and risk. Conduct ongoing buy/build/customize assessments across application components. Identify opportunities for modernization, integration, automation, and system rationalization.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise applications. Implement best practices for application lifecycle management, including development, deployment, maintenance, and support. Manage master data across systems.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including GDPR and EUDR, as well as other country-specific requirements. Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with applications and data systems.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the enterprise applications budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing enterprise applications. Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives and large-scale global IT projects. Strong background with ERP systems, industrial manufacturing applications, CRM platforms, and other mission-critical business systems.
