Sub-System Technical Lead - Cockpit Stellantis United States, Michigan, Auburn Hills Jul 21, 2026 The Sub System Technical Lead (SSTL) is responsible for leading and coordinating the design, development, and validation of systems for assigned vehicle programs. This includes ensuring alignment with quality, cost, timing, performance, integration, and budget targets.
Core Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Drive development from contract milestone to Start of Production (SOP), ensuring all targets are met.
Team Management:
Functionally manage internal and external technical teams within the assigned perimeter.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with production plants, platform teams, quality departments, and supplier quality teams.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates to both hierarchical and platform management.
Technical Coherence:
Ensure consistency and implementation of lessons learned across global tech teams.
Issue Resolution:
Lead resolution of quality issues and ensure proper technical support.
Value Optimization:
Identify and drive opportunities for cost, weight, and performance improvements.
Purchasing Support:
Assist in supplier negotiations and commercial balance when needed.
Specific Activities:
Authoring source packages and managing part changes. Handling eCIMS and Engineering Design & Development (EDD) processes. Coordinating supplier activities and sourcing. Leading programs post-SOP as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree field. Minimum of 5 years of engineering design and development experience. Excellent communication and organization skills, with confidence and persuasive skills in presenting to Senior Management. Vehicle launch experience. Strong written and verbal skills. Ability to work & lead in a team environment.
