Technical Services Supervisor (Boyne City or Newaygo, MI) Great Lakes Energy is looking for an innovative and driven Supervisor of Technical Services in either our Boyne City or our Newaygo location to lead critical technologies that power our electric distribution system and fiber network. From analyzing AMI and SCADA communication performance to collaborating across teams to solve technical challenges, your work directly impacts system reliability and member satisfaction. You'll guide a technical team, oversee fiber network operations and metering systems, and drive improvements that strengthen our grid. Who You Are You are a forward-thinking technical leader who thrives in a fast-evolving environment and enjoys solving complex challenges. You are also a strategic thinker, collaborative leader, and continuous improvement mindset champion. Some highlights of your education and experience include: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a closely related field (equivalent advanced technical education and professional licenses may be considered) At least five years of relevant experience, including at least one year of supervisory responsibility Strong knowledge of AMI, SCADA, fiber networks, and distributed energy resources What You'll Do Lead and develop a team of technical professionals Oversee AMI, SCADA, and fiber systems performance Oversee distributed energy resource member programs Ensure accurate data flow and system integration Support reliability and power quality initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally to improve efficiency Manage vendors, contracts, and budget Drive innovation and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards What's in It for You?
