Scott has one of the best teams of Certified Fluid Power Specialists, Certified Electronic Control Specialists and Certified Fluid Power Technicians to assist with problem solving, system building, troubleshooting, and other custom requirements. We are currently seeking an Experienced Application and Business Development Manager, in Industrial and Automation.
Summary:
Provide sales and application support for value-added systems and services to customers and internal staff. Act as a liaison between the sales department and Scott technical resources on value-added projects. Manage select industrial product lines by supporting growth initiatives, training, and opportunity development.
Qualifications:
Required :
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology. Demonstrable knowledge and significant applicable experience may supplant this requirement.
Preferred :
Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering or Engineering Technology Work Experience Required:
2 years' experience in fluid power
Preferred:
4 yrs experience in fluid power and automation technology
Fluid Power Certification Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with account managers and customers, defines the requirements and scope of work for value added systems and services that meet customer needs. Frequent joint sales calls expected. Assists in the sale, design, startup, and successful completion of value-added projects by providing project supervision and coordination of support from Scott teammates and vendors. Formulates and implements an annual business plan for growth of value-added service and systems at Scott Industrial Systems. Includes related budgetary requests. Provides product/technical training to fellow staff members based on their assessed needs. May also conduct customer training when requested and required. Research and makes recommendations regarding additional value-added products to enhance Scott's product offerings and systems capabilities. Assists VP of sales in product line development and strategy with current and potential new products/vendors that align with the company's strategic goals/long-term vision. Assist VP of Sales in reporting and tracking systems opportunities with vendors. Assists with joint calls with vendors, product training and stocking programs for assigned products and product management. Protect and expand upon strategic accounts. Understand Industrial/Automation markets to grow existing capabilities and drive new business development. Input of sales and opportunities into the CRM system Complete special projects as assigned.
