Manager in Electrified Propulsion Engineering, this role leads a cross-functional team responsible for the development and delivery of high-voltage systems for electrified vehicle programs. It brings together engineering, validation, manufacturing, and operations to ensure systems are designed, integrated, and launched with quality, safety, and production readiness in mind. The role connects people and disciplines, turning complex challenges into clear, executable plans that move programs forward. Lead and develop a team that includes D&R, SPMT, EMC, and crash engineers, vehicle test technicians, and agency support resources Drive end-to-end delivery of high-voltage systems, including battery packs, modules, wiring, and associated interfaces Ensure completion of all engineering deliverables aligned to program milestones, with clear accountability and timing Oversee system integration to meet targets for cost, weight, performance, safety, and regulatory compliance Guide mechanical design and in-vehicle packaging for HV components and interfaces Lead cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers (Tier 1 and Tier 2), and vehicle program teams Support and govern quality processes, including DFMEA, SDS, DVP&R, and Phased PPAP readiness and sign-off Direct technical problem-solving across component, system, and vehicle levels, including prototype and production issues Oversee EMC/EMI validation, analysis, and mitigation to ensure robust and compliant system performance Ensure electrical safety compliance in crash conditions, including alignment with global standards and internal requirements (e.g., HI0055) Support virtual (CAE) and physical validation activities, including testing, correlation, and design reviews Enable successful prototype builds and vehicle launches across local and global manufacturing sites Manage supplier engagement, including technical reviews, validation planning, and production readiness Provide clear and consistent program status updates in leadership reviews and milestone forums Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and solution-oriented execution across the team This role ensures that people, process, and technology move forward together—delivering high-voltage systems that are ready for the road ahead.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Experience in High Voltage Systems with extensive experience across various disciplines related to Automotive Design, Testing, OEM operating systems, and Launch experience. Extensive experience working with quality related root cause analysis and data analysis Superior working knowledge of Ford Quality process and Tools is preferred Extensive experience in project or program management Your audience will often be Chief Engineers or Vehicle Line Directors - Excellent written and oral communication skills Even better, you may have... This position is leadership level 5 and ranges from $141,700-$268,300. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
