Job Summary

DPP is seeking a Sr. IT Project Manager for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.

Work location: Hybrid in Columbia, SC

Duration:

11 months

Schedule:

Onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs and as needed

Terms:

W2 Contract

About the

Team:

Commercial Project Management Service is a team comprised of about 10 people who handle a range of projects across the commercial business areas of the company.

This team tends to focus more on digital experience and non-host applications.

They utilize more hybrid-agile techniques.

Responsibilities:

Overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project-oriented work efforts.

Multiple work efforts of any size, from minimum complexity system/customer impacts to greater complexity system/customer impacts.

Adhere to project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budgeted hours, adhere to high-quality standards, and meets ISSM expectations.

Monitor project plans, assignments and work efforts daily.

Ensure resource needs are assigned appropriately and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues.

Track key project milestones and adjust project plans to meet the needs of work effort.

Responsible for leading the project from inception to final business acceptance and implementation.

Mentor other project leads and participates in the training and development of staff.

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree;

OR 4 years of job-related work experience;

OR 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate's degree in any major.

Required Work Experience:

5 years' IT experience in a leadership capacity, including 2 years' experience leading two or more concurrent project teams.

Completion of the Client Training Program for Project Management may substitute for one year of experience.

Required Technologies:

Microsoft Word

Project Management Software (such as MS Project, Azure Dev Ops or similar)

Soft Skills:

Excellent communications (verbal and written) skills with assertive yet customer-focused style.

Advanced leadership skills in a team or project environment.

Excellent problem solving and conflict management/resolution skills.

Advanced analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the business unit and the organization.

Advanced competency in management of resources to meet goals and multiple projects.

Strong ability to lead multiple multidiscipline, high-performance work teams throughout project life cycle.

Strong ability to negotiate terms and scope of work documents.

Advanced ability to prepare and present formal presentations.

Ability to manage all phases of work effort from inception to completion.

Work Environment:

Fast paced, dynamic environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer and where one must be flexible to changing priorities.
