Columbia, South Carolina Role OverviewAn experienced Project Manager / Project Lead is sought to oversee multiple enterprise technology initiatives across the full project lifecycle. This individual will manage projects from solicitation and vendor selection through implementation, migration, system transition, and retirement of legacy applications. This role requires a collaborative leader who can work with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership to ensure successful project outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage project activities across the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, implementation, and closeout.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
Apply both Agile and traditional project management methodologies to drive successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations.
Monitor project scope, timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
Facilitate project status meetings, stakeholder reviews, and executive updates.
Prepare and maintain project documentation throughout all phases of delivery.
Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure project success.
Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
Support process improvement initiatives related to project delivery, governance, and methodology.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
Provide regular status reporting to sponsors and key stakeholders.
Current Project AreasThe consultant may support initiatives including enterprise mortgage servicing and production technology solutions, development and compliance monitoring platforms, contract administration technology modernization, business continuity and operational resiliency initiatives, and facilities and workplace planning initiatives. Required QualificationsBachelor's degree.5+ years of IT project management experience.3+ years of experience managing projects utilizing both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.3+ years of experience with strategic planning and roadmap development.3+ years of experience in risk management.3+ years of experience in resource management.3+ years of experience in change management.3+ years of experience in budget planning and financial oversight.
Proven experience managing large projects with moderate complexity and organizational impact.
Preferred QualificationsProcess improvement experience.
Knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
Experience working within mortgage, lending, or financial services environments.
Experience supporting technology modernization and transformation initiatives.
