Position Summary:
Supervision of implementation and maintenance of software applications and interfacing with end-users and other IT groups to identify and resolve application issues. Provides project planning, implementation, coordination and support. Examines application requests from end-users for scope and size with regard to resource requirements and coordination of other IT activities.
Responsibilities:
Supervises employees, including the facilitation of performance evaluations. Acts as hiring manager for departmental needs. Manages all disciplinary actions including employee performance discussions and employee terminations. Approves all employee time and attendance documentation. Serve as the liaison between application users / all IT groups, and application users / vendors. Provide training and education to users and/or IT staff. Ensure that everything in application's technical environment is ready and functioning correctly and the application is available for all users. Verify that software functionality meets vendor and/or internal documentation. Implement software version upgrades and modifications. Research application inquiries and provide feedback to application users. Maximize system usage by researching user requirements then educating staff and users on relevant capabilities and limitations of system. Assures products meet all customers' requirements for standardization for all facilities. Maintain list of application users and any data critical to their application operation, master files not accessible to general user community, and manage user security and access to system. Provide Project Management for projects involving customers. Develop and present project plans for customers' projects. Prepare time estimates for project activities. Develop project schedules, monitor performance, report progress, and alert Manager to issues and problems. Local travel required. Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a Bachelor's degree. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a Bachelor's degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years Information Systems or relevant functional area. Requires demonstrated deep understanding of technical computer operations in a client/server environment (for assigned applications). Leadership and IT project management experience required.
Licensure Requirement:
Professional/clinical licensure (RN, ARRT, etc.) may be required based on assigned applications. Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver's license Class D and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
