Full-time, primarily onsite About the role IPS Shelters is seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate the technical work behind our prefabricated shelter projects. This person will develop estimates, manage technical communication with customers, and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) as projects move from proposal through production and delivery. The right candidate can read electrical and telecom requirements, ask the questions needed to resolve gaps, and turn customer specifications into clear information for purchasing, engineering, and the production team. Responsibilities Review customer specifications, drawings, and requests for proposal to identify shelter requirements, scope gaps, and technical risks. Prepare and maintain project estimates, including material quantities, equipment, labor assumptions, vendor pricing, and changes in scope. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer technical questions. Coordinate responses with engineering, product development, operations, and suppliers. Build and maintain shelter BOMs, including electrical, telecom, structural, HVAC, and other project-specific components. Translate approved customer requirements into accurate BOMs and production information. Track revisions so purchasing and the shop floor work from the current scope. Coordinate technical submittals, drawing reviews, clarifications, and change requests. Document decisions and their effects on cost and schedule. Work with procurement to confirm component specifications, availability, lead times, and acceptable substitutions. Monitor project milestones and raise technical or supply issues early enough for the team to act. Support the transition from completed production through customer review and delivery documentation. Qualifications Experience in technical project management, estimating, project engineering, or a similar role in telecom, electrical infrastructure, modular construction, or equipment shelters. Strong working knowledge of telecom and electrical systems, with the ability to review drawings, equipment schedules, and customer specifications. Experience developing estimates and managing detailed BOMs. Ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers, vendors, and production teams. Strong organization and document control skills; able to manage several projects and revisions at once. Proficiency with Excel and comfort working in estimating, inventory, or ERP systems. Preferred experience Telecom shelters, data center infrastructure, power distribution, or prefabricated buildings. Electrical one-line diagrams, panel schedules, grounding, HVAC, and equipment integration. Working with manufacturing teams to resolve design and material questions during production. Success in this role means customer requirements are understood early, estimates reflect the agreed scope, BOMs stay accurate as projects change, and the production team has the information it needs to build each shelter correctly.
