Onsite 2-5 times a week in the National Capital Region (Arlington, VA or Washington, DC) (applicants must be based within a commutable distance (no more than 2 hours) within the National Capital Region) Alpha Omega is seeking a IT Project Manager to support an IT portfolio within a PMO for one of our clients. The selected candidate will, at a minimum, fulfill the responsibilities below.Key Responsibilities:
The Information Technology Project Manager (PM) will ensure continuity of operations with the Program Manager and/or Deputy Program Manager. The PM will be primary point of contact for all IT Projects and will organize all tasks and work in order of priority with the government product owner. The PM will be responsible for managing, tracking, and reporting on all tasks and is expected to utilize their required experience and skills to ensure compliance with HSI standards. Work with the Program Manager and/or Deputy Program Manager, Government PMs, and OCIO ITPMs to complete tasks. Take ownership of all IT related security and privacy documentation. Will be the primary POC for all IT related projects with government PMs. Become knowledgeable of all systems to be able to better direct and coordinate all security and privacy issues that may arise. Document and maintain records for new initiatives to include Artificial Intelligence working groups and new technology demonstrations. The PM will also be assigned workload on an ad hoc basis.Required Qualifications:
Required Experience/Skills :
5+ Years of experience as a Product Owner or Project Manager. Knowledge of various agile business analysis techniques including interviewing, brainstorming, problem discovery, and MVP identification. Experience collaborating with stakeholders at varied levels. Experience in supporting business and project teams in translating complex business needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proven ability to ask probing questions to business team members. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to manage and lead meetings. Experience using JIRA and Confluence.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an environment leveraging IT frameworks. Active or recent previous DHS experience HIGHLY desired. At least 2 years of experience in Product or Project Management. Proven track record of delivering data driven solutions with a customer-first mindset.Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or an IT related field, which can be substituted for technical certifications or relevant experience.Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $133,000 - $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.Application Deadline:
