2 years Overview The Multimedia Designer will support the External Communications team by developing high‑quality visual, digital, and multimedia content that strengthens the agency s public presence. This role is responsible for producing brand‑aligned graphics, managing social media content workflows, maintaining website updates through Drupal, and capturing multimedia assets for agency events. The ideal candidate combines strong design fundamentals with hands‑on production skills and a deep understanding of accessibility standards. Key Responsibilities Design & Branding Create visually compelling, brand‑aligned graphics and digital assets for social media, web, and external communications using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Apply core design principles-including typography, layout, and color theory-to ensure consistency and professionalism across all agency materials. Content Coordination Develop, maintain, and execute a proactive social media content calendar. Assist in distributing external digital communications across approved platforms. Web Maintenance Perform routine website updates, content entry, and asset management within the Drupal CMS. Ensure all digital content meets accessibility, accuracy, and quality standards. Multimedia Production Capture on‑site photography and videography at agency events. Conduct basic editing, optimization, and formatting for web and social media use. WCAG 2.1
Level AA accessibility requirements. Create accessible PDFs and web content following established accessibility guidelines. Required Skills & Experience 1-3 years of professional experience in graphic design, multimedia production, digital media, or related field. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite , including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Demonstrated experience in digital photography and videography , including basic post‑production editing. Experience updating and maintaining websites through a Content Management System (CMS) ; Drupal experience required. Experience developing or managing a social media content calendar . Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout , and general design principles. Experience designing for
WCAG 2.1
Level AA accessibility standards and creating accessible digital content. Preferred Skills Experience with Adobe After Effects or Premiere Pro for motion graphics and animated content. Familiarity with Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Airtable , or other professional social media scheduling and analytics tools. Prior experience working in government, nonprofit, or public‑sector communications . Experience with accessible PDF creation and digital accessibility best practices. Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, public‑facing content. Tools & Technologies Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; After Effects/Premiere Pro preferred) Drupal CMS Social media scheduling tools (Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Airtable) MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Outlook, SharePoint Photography/videography equipment and editing tools
