Specialization in Rigging and Animation KeyBridge Technologies, LLC - 1.5 Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) matching Flexible schedule Qualifications Adobe Photoshop ZBrush Unreal Engine Research Unity Managing projects Maya Full Job Description Job Overview 3D Generalist / Animator Build things that move for a reason. We create interactive training experiences where animation has a job to do. A character may need to demonstrate a procedure correctly. A pump may need to separate into its individual components. A piece of equipment may need to operate exactly as it does in the real world. A learner may need to understand something they've never seen before simply by watching what you've created. That's where you come in. KeyBridge Interactive is looking for a 3D Generalist specializing in animation and character rigging who is equally comfortable thinking like an artist and solving problems like a technical animator. Your Playground You'll work with Maya, Unity, Unreal, Photoshop, ZBrush, Substance, photogrammetry, scanned assets, purchased assets, human characters, mechanical systems, and whatever else the project throws at us. Some days you'll rig and animate realistic human characters. Other days you'll build an animation that explains exactly how a mechanical assembly works. You may receive a beautiful 3D scan with terrible topology and need to make it usable. You may discover that the asset you need doesn't exist and simply have to build it. That's why we're looking for a generalist. But animation is where we need you to shine. We Want to See Your portfolio matters. A lot. Show us functional human character rigs. Show us characters moving naturally. Show us that you understand weight, timing, anticipation, follow-through, arcs, and the other principles that make animation believable. Show us topology that actually deforms correctly. Show us mechanical animation where the viewer immediately understands what's happening. Show us shots that tell a story. And if you can show us how you solved an ugly technical problem along the way—even better. The Skills Behind the Reel We're looking for someone with:
  • Professional human character rigging experience
  • Strong animation fundamentals and command of the 12 principles of animation
  • Strong Autodesk Maya skills
  • Experience with Unity and/or Unreal Engine
  • Modeling, retopology, UVing, and texturing experience
  • Understanding of real-time asset pipelines
  • Strong understanding of topology for rigging and deformation
  • Knowledge of realistic human anatomy, skeletal and muscular structure, clothing deformation, expressions, skin, and aging
  • Strong composition and visual storytelling skills
  • A B.
A. in 3D Game Design/Development, Computer Animation, 3D Art, or a related field You also need to be comfortable researching unfamiliar subjects, troubleshooting problems, receiving critique, giving useful feedback, managing multiple projects, and occasionally hearing: "We've never built this before. How do you think we should do it?" Bonus Skills PBR workflows. ZBrush. Substance Painter. Material and normal baking. Photogrammetry. 3D scan cleanup. Pipeline development. Artist tools. Scripting. Documentation. If you can make the rest of the art team's job easier, we want to hear about it. The Important Part We're not looking for someone who checks every software box. We're looking for someone with strong fundamentals, demonstrated animation and rigging ability, curiosity, and the willingness to solve problems with a team. Portfolio required. Please include multiple examples of functional character rigging and animation.
