The Creative and Brand Lead is responsible for the quality, consistency, and emotional engagement of OneChild's visual brand across content, communications, and campaigns. This role combines hands-on art direction and graphic design with ownership of OneChild's visual brand system, templates, design libraries, and creative guidelines. The positions also equips staff, partners, field teams, and contractors to create materials that stay aligned with our brand and reinforces target audience perceptions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Art direction : Responsible for the "look and feel" for all Marketing and Advocacy materials to translate messages and strategies into visuals that move audiences to action while reinforcing trust in the OneChild brand. Represents the Marketing & Advocacy team cross-organizationally to achieve organizational goals. Provides overall art direction and quality control for all creative partners. Graphic design : Leads development of strategic visual concepts for all marketing and communications needs across the organization. Designs high-quality creative assets across channels and formats including email, social, web, paid and owned media, presentations, print collateral, and event materials. Designs collateral including event kits, speaking engagement materials, slides, banners, handouts, and leave-behind interest/commitment materials. Visual brand system ownership : Maintain and evolve visual identity systems (including logos, typography, color, layout, photography, iconography, illustration, core visual elements, etc). Owns and maintains brand libraries, templates, and reusable design assets ensuring staff, partners, and contractors have access to current, practical tools for creating on-brand materials. Trains staff and partners in brand compliance and identifies and addresses instances of brand drift (inconsistent design, weak visual execution, misaligned messaging, etc.) Partner and field enablement : Equip staff and partners with practical tools, templates, examples, and guidance when building the OneChild brand in their unique contexts. Coaches others on visual storytelling, design production, photography standards, dignity guidelines, and basic editing. Contribute general guidance on design production and brand building to the OCGA; coach field/partners on capture standards (framing, audio, consent, dignity guidelines) and basic editing using generalist tools; run remote edit support as needed.
Creative operations:
Collaborates with the Marketing and Advocacy Director and Marketing Specialist to manage briefs, timelines, version control, asset organization, and production workflows for creative projects. Ensures downstream production is cohesive. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
OTHER DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Marketing and Advocacy team and other internal teams with design and content creation needs as assigned. Contribute creative ideas and design solutions to cross-functional and internal communications projects. May be asked to perform other duties or contribute to related creative and communications projects consistent with the scope of the role to meet changing business needs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Strong design skills with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or similar tools. Ability to create compelling visual assets that support storytelling and donor engagement. Strong understanding of branding principles and visual identity systems. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field required.
EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of professional design experience, preferably in a nonprofit or marketing/communications setting. Experience designing across print, digital, and social platforms. Prior experience managing brand identity systems preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is a part-time (20 hours/week) position that follows a flexible hybrid schedule with some days in the Colorado Springs office. Occasional in-person meetings may be required, and virtual meetings will be required on a regular basis. Light physical effort with occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs. Working on a computer, keyboarding, and desk work for long periods of time are required for this role.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
At OneChild, we are committed to providing fair and transparent compensation in alignment with our mission and budget. As a part-time position, OneChild offers benefits that include 403b participation/match, holiday pay (prorated), and paid parental leave (prorated). This position is considered a part-time, non-exempt role. Final compensation will be based on candidate experience, skills, and employment status. Salary $29.25 - $34.38 per hour
