- What You'll be Doing
Job Summary:
- Generally responsible for performing routine design of less complex engineering assignments using theoretical knowledge and practical design methods with regard to implementation of
DCS/PLC/HMI/SIS
systems. With experience at this level, the expectation is to assist in the design of larger and more complex automation and controls engineering assignments or lead smaller automation projects. This work will be performed under general supervision.- Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- + Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly.
- Ideal Background
Education:
- Bachelor or Master degree of Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering from an accredited university is required.
Registration:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is required. Professional Engineering (PE) registration is preferred upon eligibility.
Experience:
- This position requires a minimum 1 year of relevant industrial experience in controls and automation engineering.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability
- + Ability to understand and implement the current version of ISA S88 programming standards.
IEC 61131
programming languages and standards. + Ability to understand and implement the current version of ISA S84 programming standards. + Ability to understand and implement the current version ofOSHA 1910.119
