To help build, maintain, and improve reliable data pipelines that power analytics around vehicle service, maintenance, repair, warranty, and collision events. You'll work in a collaborative environment using tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Apache Iceberg, relational databases (Vertica, SQL Server, MySQL), and visualization with Tableau. What You'll Do Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows Write Spark (PySpark or Scala) jobs for data transformation, cleansing, and aggregation Work with Apache Iceberg tables for reliable, ACID-compliant data lake storage and schema evolution Develop and optimize SQL queries and transformations in Vertica, SQL Server, and MySQL Help implement incremental data loading patterns and CDC (change data capture) processes Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability & performance Participate in data quality checks and documentation of pipelines and data flows Support Tableau dashboard developers by ensuring clean, well-structured data is available Learn modern data engineering best practices and gradually take on more complex tasks What You'll Bring Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience Strong foundation in SQL (writing, debugging, and optimizing complex queries) Solid understanding of Python (used heavily with Spark and Airflow) Basic knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts and data pipeline patterns Familiarity with at least one major relational database (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) Eagerness to learn big data technologies and modern data lake formats Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $120,000 - $216,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
