Job Description
Job Summary The SDET will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software test automation frameworks and supporting quality engineering initiatives. The role requires strong hands-on experience building automation frameworks from scratch, with expertise in Playwright, Cucumber, mobile testing tools such as Appium or Perfecto, and programming using Java and/or JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of BDD, test automation best practices, CI/CD, automation infrastructure, and quality engineering principles. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from scratch. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cucumber. Perform mobile application testing using Appium and/or Perfecto. Create and maintain BDD test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria. Develop reusable automation components and framework capabilities. Apply test automation best practices and quality engineering principles. Support test strategy and automation initiatives across software development projects. Integrate and execute automated testing within CI/CD pipelines. Maintain and support automation infrastructure and testing frameworks. Collaborate with development, QA, and other cross-functional teams to identify and resolve testing issues. Analyze test results, identify defects, and support defect resolution. Contribute to continuous improvement of automation coverage, framework efficiency, and overall software quality. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. Strong experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch. Hands-on experience with Playwright and Cucumber. Mobile testing experience with Appium and/or Perfecto. Proficiency in at least 2-3 of the following technologies or frameworks: Playwright Cucumber Appium Perfecto Experience creating and maintaining BDD test cases, scenarios, and acceptance criteria. Working knowledge of Java and/or JavaScript. Strong understanding of test automation best practices. Strong understanding of test strategy and quality engineering principles. Experience with BDD and test framework development. Experience with CI/CD and automation infrastructure. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in a software development role. Experience working with both web and mobile test automation. Experience implementing and enhancing automation frameworks for enterprise applications.
