Job Description

Job Description Our client in the bioinformatics space is seeking a highly technical Senior SDET / Automation Engineer to help build and scale their automated testing capabilities. This individual will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks to support both UI and backend testing initiatives. The ideal candidate has extensive experience building automation frameworks from the ground up, strong Python development skills, and a passion for leveraging modern AI tools and automation practices to improve software quality and testing efficiency. Key responsibilities include designing scalable test frameworks, developing automated test suites, integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.   • 5-7+ years of experience in Software Development Engineering in Test (SDET) or Quality Assurance Automation roles
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience developing automated tests using Selenium
  • Experience designing and building Playwright automation frameworks from scratch
  • 5+ years of experience with Python development
  • Strong experience using Pytest for test automation
  • Experience writing and maintaining Bash scripts
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions
  • Experience leveraging Claude to generate code, test cases, and automation assets
  • Experience working with Agentic AI concepts, frameworks, or applications
  • Proven experience building both UI and backend/API automation frameworks from the ground up
  • Experience testing or validating machine learning models and algorithms
  • Experience within the healthcare, medical device, or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) industry
  • Experience working with Docker and containerized testing environments
