Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Network Engineer - Level 4 to join our team based in the Aurora, Colorado area at Buckley SFB. The Network Engineer will support the customer's computer data communications systems, in providing design specifications, testing and inspections for computer networks; plan and implementing upgrades; as well as, analyzing and organizing corresponding hardware and software combined solutions through network modeling.About the program:
We are looking for experienced Network Engineering candidates to provide technical support and engineering for WAN/LAN development and maintenance. The work involves installs, design, configurations, monitoring, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure network availability to system users. You may work alongside other network support and client server specialists to plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. You'll provide support to projects involving networks, by helping them connect to the network and troubleshooting issues they may have. You will develop and implement methodologies for analysis, installation and support of the network.Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8 years of Network Engineering experience; Master's degree with 6 years of Network Engineering experience; PhD and 4 years of Network engineering experience. Associate's degree with 10 years of Network Engineering experience; or a HS diploma/GED with 12 years of Network Engineering experience
- Active/current Top Secret/SCI clearance with adjudicated CI or Full Scope Polygraph at time of application
- Active/current CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent 8570 certification
- Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 6 years of Network Engineering experience covering Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Cabling, and Hardware configuration/installation with CISCO and/or Juniper equipment demonstrating a strong proficiency
- Experience working with worldwide enterprise networks
- Experience working with classified level enterprise networks
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to program management and customers
- Ability to effectively write technical documentation
- Experience sharing knowledge, mentoring, and working in a collaborative environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, testing, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds (yet such is in-frequent)
- Ability to support after hours and on weekends as needed (yet such is in-frequent)
