Job Description
We are looking for a Network Engineer to support and enhance enterprise network operations in Gainesville, Florida. This role focuses on maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across routing, firewall, and core networking environments while helping improve overall network performance. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with Cisco infrastructure and Palo Alto security platforms in a production setting.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing infrastructure to ensure stable and efficient network performance.
- Administer Palo Alto firewall environments, including policy updates, security rule management, and issue resolution.
- Support Cisco ASA platforms by monitoring firewall health, refining configurations, and addressing connectivity problems.
- Manage and optimize Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing to maintain resilient external network communications.
- Monitor network availability and respond to incidents affecting performance, security, or uptime.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to implement network improvements and support infrastructure projects.
- Document network configurations, operating procedures, and troubleshooting steps to support ongoing operations.
