Job Description

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Tactical Voice Engineer to support the Expeditionary Communications Technology Integration Center. This position will be located in Warner Robins AFB, GC and will be a hybrid position. Responsibilities Gathers information concerning the capabilities of Company products; investigates the technical capabilities of Company products and competing equipment and/or solutions; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software. Generates quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning and design, and ensures requirements comply through formal verification methods. Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements. Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers. Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts. Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks. Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices. Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures. Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements. Qualifications High School with 10+ years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience Clearance Required:
Active Secret CCNP Certification or higher required Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing classified networks Experience with Layer 2, Layer 3, Layer 4, & Layer 7 routing and configuration Experience with
BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, SD-WAN
Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs Technical experience with multiple operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, or ESXi Preferred Skills and Experience Experience with DoD deployed communications Experience with DoD NIPR, SIPR and JWICS Networks DoD 8570.01-M
IASAE II
(CASP+CE, CISSP, CSSLP) compliance Network security experience Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate Ability to work with the customer Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions. Good analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment Dependable and flexible when necessary #NSS #DL #TM Posted Salary Range USD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
