Quarterly bonus incentive Opportunity to work with cutting edge Automation technology About Our Client Our client is a mid-sized automation company focused on delivering fully customized equipment and systems to a variety of industrial customers. With a strong emphasis on innovation and continuous improvement, they design and build project-based automation solutions tailored to unique customer needs. The company offers a team-oriented environment, invests heavily in its workforce, and provides exposure to complex and niche engineering challenges across a wide range of applications Job Description Design custom automation systems using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Develop concepts and layouts for automation equipment based on customer requirements Support budgeting and estimating efforts for new projects Manage project timelines and coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful execution Collaborate with sales and customers to define technical requirements and solutions Identify and solve engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes and system designs MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant 5+ years of experience in automation or mechanical design (or mechatronics-focused roles) Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Experience with budgeting, estimating, or project costing Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Experience with conveyors or material handling systems Exposure to Visual Components or similar simulation tools Background working with custom automation equipment What's on Offer Competitive base salary in the range of $90,000-$100,000, with flexibility for strong candidates Performance-based bonus (target ~10%) 401(k) with company contribution Comprehensive health benefits through a national provider PTO starting at 2-3 weeks
